Spyderco Smallfly Foliage Green B02GPFG The Spyderco Smallfly Stainless Balisong is a unique knife made in the United States. The operation of the knife involves squeezing the handles which actuates a spring lock. The knife locks only in the closed position, not the open position - which I theorize is for lega purposes. The handles are solid and the finish is actually good on my particular evaluation model. Flipping the knife, is challenging with ANY 3" blade Balisong but the extra weight from Stainless Steel is easier than with the G10 version. The blade is somewhat of a spearpoint, in shape, but is single edged only. My particular knife has a 154 CM Stainless Steel blade. The Spyderco line of Balisongs are exceedingly razor sharp. The advantages of the Spyderco design is the ability to switch the position of the Belt Clip and the Spring Latch. The Spring Latch can be adjusted to carry this Batangas-Style (latch on Safe Handle) or Manila-Style (latch on Bite Handle). This is a solid Balisong albeit harder for a beginner or novice to flip this without being cut. Here are the Manufacturer Specifications: - Blade Length: 3" - Length Closed: 4 9/16" - Overall Length: 7 7/32" - Weight: 4.1 oz (the G-10 version weighs 3.1 oz)
